Delivery, Shipping & Installation Policy

At Kennedy Electrical & Electronic Sdn Bhd, we provide delivery services for electrical appliances purchased through our website, physical stores, and official sales channels. This Delivery & Shipping Policy explains how delivery is arranged, what customers should expect, and what charges may apply.
1. Delivery Coverage
We provide delivery within selected areas in Sarawak, Malaysia, including areas served by our branches and delivery team.
Delivery coverage may include, but is not limited to:
Miri
Tudan
Bekenu
Sibuti
Bintulu
Limbang
Nearby surrounding areas depending on product size, stock location, and delivery schedule
Delivery to certain areas may not be available for all products. For remote areas, outstation delivery, or locations outside our normal service areas, customers may contact us before placing an order to confirm availability and delivery charges.
2. Delivery Methods
Depending on the product type, size, delivery address, and stock location, orders may be delivered by:
Kennedy Electrical’s own delivery team
Company-arranged transport
Third-party courier or logistics service
Customer self-collection from selected branch, where available
Large appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, air conditioners, freezers, water heaters, and kitchen appliances are usually delivered by our own team or arranged transport.
Small appliances may be delivered by courier where suitable.
3. Delivery Timeframe
Delivery time depends on stock availability, delivery location, product size, and delivery schedule.
Estimated delivery timeframe:
In-stock items within nearby service areas: usually 1–7 working days
Outstation or remote areas: usually 3–14 working days
Pre-order, special-order, or supplier-order items: subject to supplier availability and confirmation
Delivery timeframes are estimates only. We will contact customers if there are delays caused by stock transfer, supplier delay, weather, road conditions, public holidays, peak sale periods, or other circumstances beyond our control.
4. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges may vary depending on:
Product size and weight
Delivery area
Floor level or building access
Distance from branch or warehouse
Requirement for manpower or special handling
Whether installation is included or requested separately
Some promotions may include free delivery within selected areas. If free delivery is offered, the eligible area and conditions will be stated clearly.
Delivery charges, if applicable, will be shown before order confirmation or confirmed by our team before delivery arrangement.
5. Bulky Item Delivery
Large and heavy appliances require suitable access for safe delivery. Customers should ensure that:
The delivery address is complete and correct
There is enough space for the item to pass through doors, stairs, lifts, corridors, or entrances
The delivery location is accessible by vehicle
Someone is available to receive the item
Old appliances or obstacles are removed before delivery, unless removal service has been agreed separately
If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues, wrong address, no receiver, unsafe conditions, or customer unavailability, re-delivery charges may apply.
6. Installation Is Separate From Delivery
Delivery and installation are separate services unless specifically stated in the product listing, invoice, or promotion.
Some products may require installation by a qualified installer, such as:
Air conditioners
Water heaters
Cooking hoods
Cooking hobs
Ceiling fans
Water pumps
Built-in kitchen appliances
Installation charges, additional piping, wiring, brackets, hacking, concealed work, extra materials, or special labour are not included unless clearly stated.
Customers should confirm installation requirements and charges before completing the purchase.
7. Pre-Order, Special-Order, and Supplier-Order Items
Some products may not be immediately available in store and may need to be ordered from the supplier.
For pre-order, special-order, or supplier-order items:
Estimated arrival dates are not guaranteed
Availability depends on supplier stock
Full or partial payment may be required before ordering
Cancellation may not be accepted once the item has been ordered from the supplier, unless required by law or agreed by Kennedy Electrical
If an item becomes unavailable after order confirmation, we will inform the customer and offer a replacement, waiting option, or refund where applicable.
8. Failed Delivery
Delivery may be considered failed if:
The customer is not available at the agreed delivery time
The delivery address is wrong or incomplete
The delivery location is inaccessible
The item cannot fit through the entrance, stairs, lift, or pathway
The customer refuses to accept delivery without valid reason
The delivery area is unsafe or restricted
In such cases, we may arrange another delivery date, and additional charges may apply.
9. Product Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers are advised to inspect the product during delivery.
Please check:
Correct product model
Physical condition of packaging
Visible dents, cracks, or damage
Accessories included, where possible
If there is visible damage or the wrong item is delivered, please inform our delivery team immediately or contact us as soon as possible with photos and order details.
